Pennsylvania: New Plans and Rates Effective April 1, 2008 

New Plans
Aetna is introducing new plans to help you sell more and earn more effective April 1, 2008.
 

Low cost alternative to the HMO 20

Low cost alternative to our popular PPO 1500 (formerly PPO 25) plan

Low cost alternative to our popular PPO 2500 (formerly PPO 30) plan These plans in addition to our existing plans are available in IPS now! (Individual Purchaser Solution).

 

Plans No Longer Available
Beginning April 1, 2008 we are no longer offering:

  • HMO 10 Open Access
  • HMO 15
  • PPO 20
  • High Deductible PPO 1 (5000 HSA Compatible)
  • High Deductible PPO 2 (2750 HSA Compatible)

 

Name and Benefit Changes
Beginning April 1, 2008 the following plans will have name changes:

  • PPO 25 is now PPO 1500
  • PPO 30 is now PPO 2500
  • PPO 40 is now PPO 5000
  • Maternity coverage is no longer available under our PPO Plans, but will continue to be part of both the HMO 20 and HMO 30 plans.

 

Rate Action/Application

The new rates and application are effective April 1, 2008. View the new rates on Producer World®. These plans are available in IPS now (Individual Purchaser Solution). View a new copy of the Pennsylvania application on Producer World®. ·  Members received this letter.

Manage your client’s rate increase with alternate plan options, without additional underwriting.

If your client moves to another Aetna Individual Plan, we will credit any portion of the deductible they may have satisfied in 2008 from their previous existing Aetna Individual Plan.

 

Access your Individual Book of Business
Through a secure online web portal that you can access from Producer World, you will now be able to view:

  • active members 
  • members with rate actions 
  • date last premium was applied and how much is currently due

This tool will help you manage your clients more effectively and bring more profit to your business.

To request access to your online Book of Business just complete the following steps:
1. Go to the Individual Markets Book of Business access request form on Producer World
2. Fill out the requested information (Hint: Utilize your Producer World username and password so your login information is easy to remember!)
3. Click submit.

Once your registration has been processed you will receive an e-mail notification and then you’re ready to begin accessing your book of business online! To access, please visit the Individual page within Producer World®.
