Important Enrollment Update


Start using eBusiness tools on Producer World® today
eEnrollment, Aetna’s preferred enrollment method, provides online, anytime access to complete adds, terms, and updates. For 24 hour turnaround times on non-urgent enrollment transactions, you and your staff can access the enrollment tool in eBusiness through Producer World. Sign up for Producer World if you haven’t already registered so you can take advantage of all the benefits of the eBusiness site.


New email address for enrollment submissions
On February 6, 2012, the existing email address will change. For Small Group adds, terms, and enrollment update requests, the existing email address NEMASGenrollment@aetna.com will change to EnrollmentSGNE@aetna.com. When submitting Small Group adds, terms, and enrollment update requests by email, please be aware of this new email address.


Important enrollment transaction turnaround times
Non-urgent transactions submitted via email to the email address above may take up to 5 business days to process. You can receive immediate processing for urgent transactions by calling Aetna using the phone number on your customer's billing invoice. The following situations are considered urgent and are eligible for expedited processing:

  • Member has a doctor's appointment that same day.
  • Member needs to have a prescription filled.
  • Member is at a hospital Emergency Room.
  • Member needs precertification for a procedure scheduled for that week.
