New BCNEPA benefit
BlueCross of Northeastern PA (BCNEPA) recently announced a new tool that could control our customers' health care cost while improving their health.
Blue Health Solutions is a free service that identifies members who may be at high risk and helps them reduce their risk before they become high-cost. This tool uses Advanced Predictive Modeling, specially trained care coordinators, and disease and care management programs to identify at-risk members and offer them a personalized health program with programs such as weight management, tobacco cessation, asthma, pulmonary disease, heart failure, and diabetes.
This no-cost program was automatically added to your customers' BlueCare coverage effective 1/1/2007. If you have questions about this new benefit, please call our Underwriting department at (610) 482-1800, or email sales@flexiben.com.
New Manager for Agent support
FBP, Inc. is pleased to announce that Priscilla Knerr recently joined the FBP family as our Manager of Broker/Association Accounts.
Her primary focus will be Support and Service for all FBP producing agents (quotes, group installation, Open Enrollments, product support, commission reconciliation, and licensing), and acting as a liaison for agents to the carriers (AOR/BOR's and Employer Authorization Access).
Priscilla graduated from Harcum College with a degree in Business Management, and comes to us after 13 years at Group Brokerage Associates. Her service expertise comes from a solid background in sales support, and her carrier, product, and licensing experience will be an invaluable asset to you. Association Transfers
FBP's deadline for IBC transfer paperwork is February 12, 2007. Paperwork must include:
- UC2A for group re-qualification
- Benefit Election form (if any benefit change)
- Member applications
- Waivers
- Copy of the AOR

FBP Key Dates and Notes - Fall 2006/7
| 10/18/2006 | Tentative renewal rates mailed to brokers These rates should not be released to employer groups until October 23 to allow IBC time to revise the rates, if necessary.

| 10/23/2006 | Production of renewal letters begins Letters will begin to be produced and mailed beginning 10/23. Letters will be staggered to assist you in managing your customer base.

| 11/22/2006 | All paperwork for coverage changes due All groups requesting coverage changes must complete the renewal form or a benefit change form and submit it by Wednesday, November 22, 2006 to get a January 1, 2007 change effective date. A company official must sign this form. Groups changing lines of business must complete Subscriber or Member Enrollment or Change forms. |
| 12/10/2006 | New Business paperwork due All paperwork must be received at FBP to qualify for a January 1, 2007 effective date.
