Association Transfer Guidelines 2007
For the past two years, IBC has allowed association group transfers on January 1 renewal cycles, which created operational challenges for everyone involved. Consequently, IBC changed the effective date of the 2007 transfers to April 1, 2007.
- Original AOR's must be received by FBP by January 10, 2007.
- All transfer groups must requalify during the transfer process.
- There may not be grandfathering of Traditional products (Blue Cross, Blue Shield & Major Medical) - groups will be converted to Flex options. Experience-rated dental and vision products will be changed to community-rated dental and vision products.
- Quotes for different options will be available from FBP after the AOR has been submitted and approved. The renewal rates will be the basis for any options presented to the group - new business quotes from ROAM will not be honored.
- FBP's deadline for transfer paperwork is February 10, 2007, and must include:
- UC2A for group requalification
- Benefit Election form (if any benefit change)
- Member applications
- Waivers
- A copy of the AOR
